🛠️ Installation Tips
Drain the Coolant: Before starting, ensure the engine is completely cool and drain the coolant into a clean container.

Inspect the Shaft: When removing the old impeller, check the water pump shaft for any grooving or wear. A worn shaft can cause the new impeller to wobble or leak.

Replace the Seal: It is highly recommended to install a new water pump oil seal and mechanical seal whenever you replace the impeller to prevent coolant from mixing with engine oil.

Correct Torque: Be careful when tightening the impeller nut. Over-tightening can crack the impeller or damage the shaft threads. Use a torque wrench to meet OEM specifications.

Smooth Rotation: After installation and before putting the cover back on, gently turn the engine over (or use the kickstart by hand) to ensure the impeller rotates freely without hitting the housing.

Bleed the Air: After refilling with fresh coolant, make sure to bleed the air out of the cooling system to prevent localized overheating.

Fit for following  Kawasaki  Motorcycle

KX65 2000-2024
KX80 1986-2000
Big Wheel 80 KX80 1987-1994
KX85 2001-2024
KX100 1995-2021
KX112 2022-2024

Issue Possible Cause Solution
Engine Overheating Air pocket in the system or broken impeller. Bleed the cooling system. Ensure the impeller pin (if applicable) is engaged and the impeller is actually turning with the shaft.
Coolant in Engine Oil Failed water pump seal. Replacing the impeller won't fix this. You must replace the mechanical seal and oil seal behind the impeller.
Weep Hole Leaking Seal failure. If coolant is dripping from the small hole under the water pump, the internal seals are worn and need replacement along with the impeller.
Noisy Operation Impeller hitting the cover. Check if the impeller is fully seated on the shaft. Ensure the gasket thickness is correct, as a too-thin gasket can cause clearance issues.
Impeller Spins Freely Stripped internal threads or broken pin. Inspect the shaft and the impeller's center. If the threads are stripped, the shaft or nut may need replacement to secure the impeller.
