🛠️ Installation Tips (Copy & Paste)

• Pre-Grease the Carrier: Although the carrier comes with bearings, we highly recommend adding a bit of high-quality waterproof marine grease through the Zerk fitting (if equipped) or directly onto the seals to ensure long-lasting protection against mud and water.

• Axle Alignment: When sliding the axle through the new carrier, ensure it is perfectly centered. Never force the axle with a heavy hammer; if it doesn’t slide in, check for burrs on the splines.

• Chain Tensioning: This is the perfect time to inspect your chain and sprockets. After installing the carrier, ensure your chain tension is adjusted according to the service manual to prevent premature bearing wear.

• Torque the Axle Nut: Use a large torque wrench to tighten the rear axle nut to the specified torque. Under-tightening causes the hub to wobble and strip splines, while over-tightening can crush the internal bearing spacer.

• Locking the Bolts: Use a medium-strength thread locker (Blue Loctite) on the carrier mounting bolts and hub bolts to prevent them from backing out due to the high vibrations of the 200cc 2-stroke engine.

🔍 Troubleshooting Guide

Issue	Possible Cause	Solution
Rear Wheel Wobble	Loose axle nut or stripped hub splines.	Re-torque the axle nut. Inspect the splines inside the hub; if they are rounded, the hub must be replaced immediately.
Grinding Noise from Rear	Failed carrier bearings.	Usually caused by water entry. If you hear grinding, stop riding to avoid damaging the axle shaft. Replace the bearings and seals.
Axle Hard to Rotate	Chain too tight or crushed spacer.	Loosen the chain tension. If it’s still stiff, ensure the internal spacer between the carrier bearings is installed correctly.
Brake Rotor Not Lining Up	Axle not centered in the carrier.	Check the positioning of the snap rings and spacers on the axle shaft. Ensure the brake stay is properly engaged.
Vibration at High Speed	Bent axle or loose hub bolts.	Inspect the axle for any runout (wobble) while spinning. Ensure all 4 hub bolts are tightened evenly in a star pattern.
