💡 Professional Tips for Polaris Prop Shaft Repair:

• Check the Splines: Before installing the new yoke, clean the splines on the gearcase input shaft with a wire brush. Apply a small amount of Anti-Seize or High-Pressure Grease to the splines to prevent future seizing.

• Phasing is Critical: When re-installing the prop shaft, ensure it is "in phase" (the yokes at both ends should be aligned in the same plane). If the shaft is out of phase, it will cause severe vibration.

• Snap Ring Security: Ensure the U-joint snap rings (C-clips) are fully seated in their grooves. A loose snap ring can cause the U-joint to fail catastrophically during high-speed operation.

• Grease Before Use: Most high-quality U-joints feature a grease zerk. After installation, pump in fresh Marine-Grade Grease until you see a small amount purge from the seals to ensure maximum longevity.
