Flush the Fuel Tank: Before installing the new carb, ensure your fuel tank is free of debris and old, degraded fuel. We recommend installing a new Inline Fuel Filter to protect your new carburetor.

Cable Routing: When installing the new throttle cable, ensure it is routed smoothly without sharp kinks. Turn the handlebars from lock to lock to make sure the engine RPM doesn't increase (cable binding).

Float Bowl Check: During shipping, the float might get stuck. We recommend gently tapping the float bowl with a screwdriver handle after installation to ensure the needle valve seats properly.

Vacuum Lines: Carefully check all vacuum hoses for cracks or leaks. A vacuum leak is the most common cause of "hanging idle" or poor performance after a carb swap.
